January Wrap-Up

2011 is off to a fabulous start! I can’t believe it’s already February. January was a really great month here at Cover to Cover and I’m looking forward to keeping this momentum going throughout the year!

Books Read:

(Please click the book title to see my review)

Delirium by Lauren Oliver
The Lying Game by Sara Shepard
Deception by Lee Nichols
Wish by Alexandra Bullen
Other Words for Love by Lorraine Zago Rosenthal
Real Live Boyfriends by E. Lockhart
The Lipstick Laws by Amy Holder
She’s So Dead To Us by Kieran Scott
Deadly Little Secret by Laurie Faria Stolarz
Will Work For Prom Dress by Aimee Ferris

My favorite book in the first month of 2011? SO tough to pick- I gave out more 5 star reviews in January than I think ever in the history of my blog, but I’m going to have to go with DELIRIUM by Lauren Oliver.

On The Blog:

-I read 10 books and reviewed 9 books.

-Like many other bloggers, I publicly declared my 2011 reading, writing and blogging goals.

-I organized my bookshelf.

-I wrote two books that I’m especially proud of that garnered some pretty interesting discussions: Book Blogging Pet Peeves and Quick Fixes and Yay or Nay: Blog Rolls.

-I hosted Lorraine Zago Rosenthal on the blog and gave away a copy of her debut novel OTHER WORDS FOR LOVE. I also interviewed author Cavanaugh Lee.

-Along with hundreds of other bloggers, I joined in the Bloggiesta fun.

-I did my first ever vlog for In My Mailbox!

-I showed you all my lovely new iPad and discussed how awesome it is to use at the gym.

-I celebrated Kristin Walker’s one year book birthday (A MATCH MADE IN HIGH SCHOOL) by telling you how I did PR for her book launch.

Whew! What a fabulous month- and a great way to kick off 2011!

This Month I Hope To:

Read at least 8 books.

-Write a few more discussion type posts.

-Begin planning a Philadelphia-area book blogger meet up!

How was January for you? What are you up to this month? Any new goals?

  1. My only goal right now is to survive college! My blog’s taking a backseat to my studies but I’m not COMPLETELY neglecting it…
