On Productivity:

My Crazy Productivity Secrets: I am absolutely LOVING Amber Naslund’s blog lately. This week, Amber reveals her biggest productivity secret of all…the fact that there is no secret. You’ll want to save this post- it’s an awesome reminder to business owners everywhere.

On Building a Business:

An Insight About Digital Products That Changed the Way I’m Building My Business: Alexis Grant gets personal on her blog this week with an aha moment about digital products vs. client work that will change the way she runs her business. Can her realization help you in your business too?

What’s the Point of a Lifestyle Biz If You Don’t Have a Life?: Kelly Gurnett is so smart; she says, “every day I should NOT be hustling.” A good reminder to all entrepreneurs who started their own business to do things their own way, but are getting so caught up in the every day that they can’t even enjoy what they’ve built.

On Truth:

On Flakiness + Devotion: Oh my goodness, Alexandra Franzen knocks it out of the park with this post about how we need to stop flaking out on commitments or things we’ve said yes to.

On Careers:

Getting Canned or Why I’m Glad I Got Let Go From My Job: My mentor and friend Jason Mollica writes this fantastic post about the day he got let go from his PR agency job two years ago. Since then, he’s started his own successful business and has overcome an extremely tough time and is better for it. Inspiring post!

On Blogging:

How to Back Up Your WordPress Blog: An important reminder from Melissa of Freeing Imperfections to back up your blog! I hadn’t done it in months, so this was an awesome reminder; definitely don’t want to lose all the content I have here.

This Week on JessicaLawlor.com:

Four Ways To Use That Back-to-School Energy To Kickstart Your Goals: Anyone else find inspiration to turn over a new leaf in September? Here’s how to take advantage of that awesome “everything is new” feeling to kickstart your goals this fall.

Monthly Check-In: Goodbye August, Hello September: Each month, I share three things I accomplished in the previous month and preview three things I’m excited about for the upcoming month. Here’s my latest monthly check-in.

Goals

  • Create a mini training plan for all the races I’m running this fall. I mapped out all the races I plan on doing and even registered for a few of them- I’m doing four 5Ks, an 8.8K and a 10K. Currently, I’ve been running three miles at most at a time, so I need to get myself back in 10K shape.
  • Research things to do in Savannah, Georgia. My mom and I booked a mother-daughter trip to Savannah for the beginning of October. Im SO excited- have you been? Tell me where to go! And more importantly, where to eat!
