Start Your Week Right Sunday: Links and Goals

Start your week right! Every Sunday I post my favorite links from around the web and share my goals for the upcoming week.

Links

On Freelancing:

Your “Better Life” is Now (So What Are You Going to Do About It?): Kelly aka “Cordelia” realizes that you have to be happy in the moment and stop looking forward to a future “better life.” So smart.

On Writing:

FREE: 30 Days of NaNoWriMo Tips for Procrastinating Writers: Thinking of taking on NaNoWriMo this year? Jennifer Blanchard, blogger at InkyBites, will send you one tip each day during November to help you finally write that novel.

On Finding Your Zen:

The Zen and Balance of Yarn: My good friend Meg and blogger extraordinaire at Write Meg! writes about finding balance through her passion for knitting and crocheting.

On Productivity:

Making Time For Your Dream Starts Before Sunrise: As an early bird myself, I totally related to this post by Matt from Life Without Pants, who suggests setting your alarm one hour earlier to get a jump start on your dream.

10 Things You Should Be Spending More Time On: Craig, the Time Management Nina, writes this smart list of 10 things you should be spending more time on. Have anything to add to this list?

Just For Fun:

12 Animals Who Get What You’re Going Through: An oldie, but goodie. This post from Daily Muse never fails to make me smile.

Goals

  • Continue sticking to my half marathon training plan. With a successful week behind me (look out for a post this week on what I’ve learned from the first half of this training cycle) I have a 10-miler to look forward to this coming weekend.
  • Maintain composure and try not to go completely fangirl when I have the awesome opportunity to hear from Anderson Cooper at the Temple University Lew Klein Awards Luncheon. In all seriousness, it’s an honor to be invited to attend this prestigious event and I’m looking forward to networking with lots of Temple University School of Media and Communication students and alumni.
  • Approach this week, despite its craziness with a PPRA event and big work event, with a smile on my face.

Have any links or goals you’d like to share? Leave them in the comments!

  1. Thanks for including me in your links round-up! 🙂 Looks like I have plenty of good reading as I move through your post!

    1. Of course! Absolutely loved your post…and I totally want to pick up my knitting needles again for the first time in years.

  2. Thanks for sharing these great posts with us!
My goal for this week is working out four times a week. I’ve already seen myself improving in running: now I can run for 40 mins without walking!

Second goal of the week would be writing a review on “Bond Girl”! Really enjoy it!

    1. Yay! I saw you accomplished your goal of writing a review for BOND GIRL! Thanks for the shoutout in the post. Glad you liked the book!
