Waiting On Wednesday

Today, I’m participating in Waiting on Wednesday, a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. This event highlights the upcoming releases that we are eagerly awaiting!

Today, I am waiting for…

Amplified by Tara Kelly (October 25, 2011 by Henry Holt and Co)

Pretty sweet cover, right? Loving those boots!

Check out this Goodreads summary:

When privileged 17-year-old Jasmine gets kicked out of her house, she takes what is left of her savings and flees to Santa Cruz to pursue her dream of becoming a musician. Jasmine finds the ideal room in an oceanfront house, but she needs to convince the three guys living there that she’s the perfect roommate and lead guitarist for their band, C-Side. Too bad she has major stage fright and the cute bassist doesn’t think a spoiled girl from over the hill can hack it…

This sounds like a really unique YA book! I love the whole music angle, and this storyline is definitely one I’ve never seen done before. Jasmine seems like a really interesting, kind of feisty character, and I can’t wait to get to know her better.

What are you anxiously waiting for this Wednesday?

  1. I’m looking forward to Amplified too. It sounds so, so good. Haven’t read Harmonic Feedback yet, though I’m trying to make up for that.

  2. The TBD page for Amplified has been on my browser for weeks. Needless to say I’m intent on pre-ordering it. Tara Kelly’s debut was amazing, and I can’t wait to see how this one goes. I love her passion for music that both books have music as a core point to them.
