It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday, What are you Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at One Person’s Journey Through A World Of Books to discuss what we are reading this week, as well as books completed the previous week.

Another good week. My reading has been pretty steady these last few weeks, even with the holidays quickly approaching. I’m hoping I’ll have some time to rest and relax over Christmas with a few good books.

Books I Completed Last Week:

Things I Know About Love by Kate Le Vann: I had SUCH high hopes for this one, but unfortunately, the ending just floored me, and not in a good way. Review to come.

The Perfect Christmas by Debbie Macomber: My mom has this short, quick read on her Nook, so I read it while at the gym. It was a cute, Christmas-y book, perfect to get in the holiday mood!

Books I’m Reading This Week:

Little Black Lies by Tish Cohen:I’m in the midst of this one now and it’s really unique! It’s about a girl who goes to a school for really smart people. Her dad is the janitor, but she spins herself into a weave of lies to fit in with her new classmates. Really great so far!

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver: I can’t wait to dig into this one, especially after all of the positive reviews I’ve seen lately!

So, what are you reading this week?

  1. I hate when books turn on you. I have read several that I was recommending during the first half because they were soooo good only to have the ending ruin it. One of them, I went so far as to talk a customer out of buying.

    1. @Anna Marie, Ugh, isn’t that THE WORST? I feel bad because I really WANTED to like it, but it just didn’t click for me. I’ll have my review up tomorrow. Thanks so much for stopping by!

  2. There is so much buzz about Lauren Oliver! I just got my hands on a copy of Delirium!

I’m so excited that you WON an ipad! I’m totally jealous! I think the Nook is the way to go for me. I can rent e-books from the HUGE Chicago library and they actually have a TON of titles which I won’t be able to get if I have a Kindle! I won’t be using the browser really…I have a laptop and iPhone…so don’t really need it!
