Start your week right! Every Sunday I post my favorite links from around the web and share my goals for the upcoming week.
Links
On Growing A Community:
The #1 Way To Grow Your Community: When I was reached out to by One Woman Shop to share my #1 tip for growing a community, I jumped at the opportunity, but I had no idea my words would be included among so many other smart women (Ashley from Your Super Awesome Life, Sarah from Yes and Yes, Jess from Jess Lively Creative and many more!). Download the guide to read all of the useful tips for growing a vibrant online community.
On Sleep:
Why People Who Sleep Longer Achieve More: If you love your sleep, raise your hand! If you prioritize it in your life, you may be achieving more than your “no sleep” counterparts! Michael Hyatt explains why.
On Life:
Four Things To Do When Other People Hate Your Choices: Not everyone is going to like your choices in life. That’s a fact. Kate from Your Courageous Life details four things to do when this inevitably happens.
The Gut Check Test: Oh yes, Kelly from Cordelia Calls It Quits is spot-on in this post about trusting your gut (and what our gut knows that we don’t).
On Podcasts:
Podcast Recommendations for Creatives, Small Business Owners, Bloggers & Pop Culture Lovers: I LOVE podcasts these days and lucky for me, they seem to be popping up all over the place! The lovely Kyla Roma rounds up her recommendations for some of the best podcasts out there right now. (Oh, and here’s a list of my favorite podcasts)
This Week on JessicaLawlor.com:
The Truth About Social Media: In May, I participated in a yoga photo challenge. Here’s the truth about social media; the yoga bloopers and what you DIDN’T see throughout the challenge
Monthly Check-In: Goodbye May, Hello June: Each monthly check-in, I share three things I accomplished in the previous month and preview three things I’m excited for in the month ahead.
Goals
- Learn a ton at the PRSA Travel & Tourism Conference in Tampa this week! I was lucky enough to attend this conference for work last year and learned SO much about tourism PR. Looking at this year’s lineup, I’m even more excited to learn!
- Run two times in Tampa. Running is one of my favorite ways to explore new cities, so I’m hoping a change of scenery will inspire me to get out the door.
