One of my 2013 goals is to ramp up my freelancing/guest blogging, and I’m happy to report that I’m off to a pretty solid start! Over the past two weeks, my writing has been featured on three blogs I admire: Muck Rack, PR Daily and Your Super Awesome Life.
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I’m newly freelancing for the awesome website/blog for journalists and PR professionals, MuckRack.com. My latest post appeared last week on the site and I was super excited when I received an email that Ragan’s PR Daily wanted to re-publish my post on their site. I religiously read PR Daily every day at lunch to catch up on PR/social media news, so it was an honor to have my writing featured on such a respected and well-read site.
How to effectively retweet a journalist on Twitter
Ready to take your engagement on Twitter to the next level in 2013?
By now, we all know how important Twitter is as a tool for both journalists and communication professionals. From the PR side, Twitter is an incredible resource to engage with journalists one-on-one, build relationships and position yourself (or your client) as a news source.

One of Ashley’s (the fabulous blogger over at Your Super Awesome Life) 2013 goals was to launch an “Inspirational Interview” series on her blog. I was thrilled when Ashley featured me as her second interview of the year! Read a snippet below and be sure to click on over to Ashley’s blog to read the full interview.
Inspirational Interview: Jessica Lawlor
Q: What does living a “super awesome life” look like for you?
A: Living a “super awesome life” to me means taking chances and doing things that force me out of my comfort zone in order to be more fulfilled. Whether that’s doing something small like hitting publish on a personal blog post or something big like training for and running a half marathon, I’m always seeking new ways to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

It sounds like you are off to an awesome start on your guest posting goal for this year. Congratulations! And thanks so much for being a part of my interview series. It was so much fun reading your answers!
Thank YOU for having me, Ashley! It was so much fun!
