Waiting On Wednesday

Today, I’m participating in Waiting on Wednesday, a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. This event highlights the upcoming releases that we are eagerly awaiting!

Today, I am waiting for…

The One That I Want by Jennifer Echols (December 6, 2011 by Simon Pulse)

Adore the cover, the title and the author! I don’t even have to read the summary to know that I am going to want to read this book…I kid, I kid. Of course I read the summary. Check it out:

Gemma can’t believe her luck when the star football player starts flirting with her. Max is totally swoon-worthy, and even gets her quirky sense of humor. So when he asks out her so-called best friend Addison, Gemma’s heartbroken.

Then Addison pressures Gemma to join the date with one of Max’s friends. But the more time they all spend together, the harder Gemma falls for Max. She can’t help thinking that Max likes her back””it’s just too bad he’s already dating Addison. How can Gemma get the guy she wants without going after her best friend’s boyfriend?

This storyline has definitely been done before….girl falls for best friend’s boyfriend. However, Jennifer Echols is such a fantastic author; I’m sure she was able the breathe new life into this plot. Can’t wait to get my hands on a copy in a month!

What are you anxiously waiting for this Wednesday?

  1. I’ve obviously been buried in a cave since I didn’t even know Jennifer Echols had a new book coming out! You’re right, if anyone can breathe a little life into a been-there, done-that, she’s one who can. If I hurry when I read it, I can use it for a challenge of mine even! Nice choice. 🙂
