Waiting On Wednesday

Today, I’m participating in Waiting on Wednesday, a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. This event highlights the upcoming releases that we are eagerly awaiting!

Today, I am waiting for…

You Have Seven New Messages by Stewart Lewis (September 13, 2011 by Delacorte Books for Young Readers)

Check out this Goodreads summary:

It’s been a year since Luna’s mother, the fashion-model wife of a successful film director, was hit and killed by a taxi in the East Village. Luna, her father, and her little brother, Tile, are still struggling with grief.

When Luna goes to clean out her mother’s old studio, she’s stunned to find her mom’s cell phone there””charged and holding seven unheard messages. As Luna begins to listen to them, she learns more about her mother’s life than she ever wanted to know . . . and she comes to realize that the tidy tale she’s been told about her mother’s death may not be the whole truth.

I love the plot of this book; I’m really into books about moms and daughters, and even though this one sounds a bit different and of course, a little sad, it seems really mysterious and interesting. Plus, the cover is VERY cool…it looks like Luna is running somewhere after just finding out an important piece of information. Love it!

What are you anxiously waiting for this Wednesday?
