August Wrap-Up

August is officially over, and we’re two days into September (one of my favorite months). Let’s re-cap what happened in August here at Cover to Cover.

Books read:

Best Friends Forever by Jennifer Weiner
The Importance of Being Married by Gemma Townley
In Her Shoes by Jennifer Weiner
Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella
The Guy Not Taken by Jennifer Weiner
Saving What Remains by Livia Bitton-Jackson
Cracked Up To Be by Courtney Summers
Sleeping Arrangements by Madeleine Wickham
Goodnight Nobody by Jennifer Weiner
Private by Kate Brian

My favorite book this month? Definitely Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella.

On the blog:

-I started this blog on August 18th and I couldn’t be happier with its progress! So far, I have 18 blogger followers and 42 Google reader subscribers. Wow!

-I’ve reviewed 7 books so far with many more to come.

-I’ve met several wonderful other book bloggers (see my blog roll!) and hope to meet many more. Thank you to all of you who helped me and welcomed me into the book blogging community, so far!

This month:

-I hope to read at least ten books (school sometimes gets in the way of reading time!)

-Join a challenge or two

-Keep working on the novel

How was August for you? What are you up to this month? Any new goals?

  1. This month I am organizing a "Biggest Loser" weight loss competition with my management staff. My goal is to drop at least 20 lbs by the end of the year!
I agree, my favorite book from August was Twenties Girl! So good 🙂

  2. Lisa from Lisa's Yarns

    Just found your blog. 🙂

August was a whirlwind for me – I had 2 weddings and my mom's birthday so I was out of town alot. And didn't get much reading done. But I am back on track!

My goal for September to join a local running club. I am paranoid that I am going to be the turtle of the bunch but I know I just need to give it a try!

Looking forward to following this blog! 🙂

  3. Congrats on your progress — you're doing great! Reading ten books in a month is outstanding. Not sure how many I read in August… I should probably be keeping better track!

I'm still trying to complete 100 books for the 100+ Reading Challenge, and I've finished 60 so far. I'm not sure I'll make it, but I really hope so! 🙂 I'm going to keep plugging away! I'm reading Nos. 61, 62 and 63 now!

  4. Just from browsing the social media web, I stumbled upon your blogger – and I have to say I am quite excited that I did! I need to find a new book for the weekend.

Also, I just finished a great book called "the beach house" by Jane Green. Very light and quite a page turner.
