In My Mailbox, started by Kristi from The Story Siren is an awesome weekly meme to post what books we’ve received this week; whether it was sent for review by a publisher, purchased at a book store, borrowed from the library, or won from a giveaway.
I’ll probably go a little lighter on reading this month since I’ll be joining in NaNoWriMo…I’m pretty excited! If you’re participating too, let me know in the comments.
This week, I picked up two gems from my local book sale.
The J.A.P. Chronicles by Isabel Rose: I’ve seen this title before and it sounds extremely cute/funny so I was glad to find it in the young adult bin at the book sale.
Ask Again Later by Jill A. Davis: I’ve never read anything by Davis before, but I’ve heard good things about her and the plot of this book appealed to me. It sounds like a beautiful story of a mother and daughter and a broken family coming together again.
What’s in your mailbox today?
I read “The J.A.P. Chronicles.” I super enjoyed it!
Thanks for dropping by my site (and thinking the name is cute!). I’m going to GFC follow you!
GFC’ing you now too! Can’t wait to read more of your reviews 🙂
I’ve enjoyed Jill Davis before. I don’t think I’ve read that one but it sounds good!
Glad to hear since I’ve never read here before! I’m super excited to read it though!
Thanks for stopping by my web site. I have heard of Sara Shepard, but not this book, so since you are envious, then I guess I’ll be putting that one at the top of the pile (but I have due dates for some of the others first, so I probably can’t.) I’m following you and on twitter too.
Thanks for the follow Annette! Just followed you back! 🙂
Can’t wait to read your thoughts on it!
Ask Again Later looks like an interesting read!! Happy Reading!!
Thanks! I’m definitely looking forward to both of these 🙂
Awesome IMM…thanks for checking my IMM 🙂
I haven’t heard of either of these, but they sound good, keep us posted on how you like them!
I definitely will!
I read and enjoyed Ask Again Later when it came out. When I first saw that cover, I thought it was Maddie Dawson’s The Stuff That Never Happened. Wow! I hope you like it.
I’m glad you liked it! Looking forward to reading it soon. I’ve never heard of the other book you mentioned, but I’ve seen a different cover for Ask Again Later, so I can see why you’d be surprised!
