After joining in my first In My Mailbox last week, I think I’m hooked. It’s so fun to check out the great finds and buys people have come across throughout the week. The idea of this meme is to post what books we’ve received this week; whether it was sent for review by a publisher, purchased at a book store or borrowed from the library
Just like I love flea markets and book sales, I am a HUGE fan of my local library. The library is where I get most of the books I read. Seriously, and my library is awesome.
Here are some of the great books I found at my library this week:
(Again, sorry for the blurry Blackberry photo)
Writing and Selling the YA Novel by KL Going: I am always looking for books to help improve my writing and this one is great so far. The chapters are broken down into “classes” starting with homeroom and continuing throughout a full day of high school. Clever way to organize the book, especially since it’s about writing for teens.
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green: I am a huge fan of the Vlogbrothers and John Green absolutely cracks me up. I figured if I like him so much in real life, I’ll most likely enjoy his writing.
God Never Blinks: 50 Lessons for Life’s Little Detours by Regina Brett: Inspirational is the word I would use to describe this book. Regina Brett is a cancer survivor who wrote down all of the little life lessons she has learned throughout the years. I am loving this one.
Sweet Deceit by Kate Brian: I’ve been meaning to get caught up on Kate Brian’s Privilege series because I was OBSESSED with them all last year. This one came out in June and I’m surprised I haven’t read it yet.
Pure Sin by Kate Brian: I won’t have to wait long after finishing Sweet Deceit since I already have this latest, Pure Sin, to read right afterward!
What’s in your mailbox today?
That’s my favorite John Green book. I love him so much.
And I bought that writing book on Amazon, but I haven’t had a chance to read it yet.
Ah, I’m glad you like the John Green book! The description of the book didn’t immediately pop out to me, but I love him, so I’m guessing it’s awesome.
Very cool about buying the writing book; it’s pretty useful so far!
Looks like a good week for you!
Found you IMM.

Thanks Nancy! I hope you have a great week…heading to check out your blog now.
Great books this week 🙂 I’m so jealous your library is so great. I visited my library this week and noticed that it’s slowly dying 🙁 The librarian shared that their money budget has been cut so bad that they can’t afford to buy the new books they want. It was extremely sad.
Come see what in my mailbox
That’s so sad about your library! Our library has had some difficulties too- recently they have been closed on Sundays because of budget cuts.
However, we get such awesome books because we have a network of libraries in the surrounding counties that we can reserve books from which I love. Then, they deliver the books directly to your closest library. Love it!
Hey! I saw your comment, thanks for following! I’m really bad at commenting on other blogs, but I do read all my comments. My header was made for me by Parajunkee Designs. Glad to meet another Ruby Oliver fan! I really enjoyed The Abundance of Katherines, hope you do too 🙂
Have a nice week,
~Sabrina
Thanks for your comment! I know it’s tough to get around to everyone’s blog!
Yes, I love me some Ruby Oliver!
Hope you have a great week too!
Great books, I hope you enjoy!
Happy reading!

Thanks so much for visiting Gabrielle! I hope you have an awesome week.
Great IMM this week–it is addicting, isn’t it? Kate Brian’s series are on my to-read list…which is steadily getting longer!
Ohhh, the Kate Brian books are EXCELLENT! They are usually quick and easy reads and oh so intriguing.
You have some great books there this week!
Come and visit me tomorrow for a new meme, On My Radar 🙂
Some really great sounding books there – I hope you enjoy them all.
I’ve been wanting to read An Abundance of Katherines. I’ve only read one John Green and I enjoyed it. I hear Paper Towns is pretty awesome too.
