In My Mailbox, started by Kristi from The Story Siren is an awesome weekly meme to post what books we’ve received this week; whether it was sent for review from a publisher, purchased at a book store, borrowed from the library, or won from a giveaway.
Just one book this week, which is totally okay since I have a large pile of library books to make my way through, in addition to all the great books I’ve received the past few weeks. I wish I could take a week’s vacation for a personal readathon!
Radiate by Marley Gibson: This book is about a high school senior who finally makes the cheerleading squad and then learns she has cancer. I’ve seen a lot of cancer-related books coming out in 2012 and I’m really happy about it because cancer is something that affects so many families, yet I definitely haven’t seen it reflected in YA. I’m so looking forward to this book!
What’s in your mailbox today?
oh, Radiate sounds awesome. i haven’t heard of it until now. happy reading!
My In My Mailbox.
I saw this on Netgalley. It sounds like a very emotional book! By the cover though it seems like a fun, high school drama type book…

I wish we could all take a week off for a personal readathon. I fail at read-a-thon because mom always intereferes with my life and reading time. Sometimes its okay if we get one book. Old follower. Come visit me over at Livre De Amour-Books of Love Blog.
Radiate sounds like an interesting read, first that I’ve heard of it. Hope you enjoy it!

looks like a super cute read.
I’m really trying to get less NetGalley books at the moment, because I still have sooo many to read. But this sounds like a really interesting book, so I hope it’ll still be available once I’ve reduced my reading pile. 😀
Enjoy it and have a lovely week,

This one looks great – Can’t wait to see what you think 🙂
Oh, this one sounds sort of sad. I am interested in seeing your review.
I haven’t heard about this one, it looks great! Can’t wait for your review.
If you find a way to make that week long read-a-thon happen, you definitely have to let me know!
ooohhh this book sounds hearbreaking, I can’t wait to see what you think of it. I’ll have to add it to my list.
I have this on netgalley too. The synopsis kinda breaks my heart.
This book sounds like one I’d love to check out. I agree with you, cancer isn’t a big topic in YA, but definitely affects everyone. Hope this book gets a lot of publicity!

I’ve heard of this one and think it sounds wonderful. I love that the MC is the one with cancer, since that’s not a prospective you hear much about in YA. You must let me know how it is!
Thanks so much for all the comments about my book, RADIATE! This book is special to me because it’s a fictionalized version of the cancer that I went through as a teenage cheerleader. Can’t wait to read all of your reviews. Check out the book trailer, too at http://www.radiatebooks.com.
Thanks again!
