Start Your Week Right Sunday: Links and Goals

Start your week right! Every Sunday I post my favorite links from around the web and share my goals for the upcoming week.

Links

On Blogging:

Writing the Perfect Blog Post: A Formula That Works: Writer and entrepreneur Alexis Grant outlines the 8-step formula bloggers should follow to ensure their blog post succeeds. This post is a must-read for bloggers of all experience levels.

Removing The Date From Your Posts is a Terrible Idea: YES. I’m so happy someone finally addressed this. Adam Singer from The Future Buzz explains why removing the date from your posts in an attempt to make content appear new and fresh can actually backfire and have the opposite effect on your readers.

On Personal Finance:

How To Be Self Sufficient: A Comprehensive A-Z Financial Checklist: My friend and favorite personal finance blogger Cat Alford from Budget Blonde outlines her best financial tips from A-Z. Pretty clever and seriously comprehensive list.

On Entrepreneurship:

If You Want Your Business To Grow, Do This One Thing: Carrie from Careful Cents reveals the one thing all business owners/ entrepreneurs should do to grow their business. I think it may surprise you. Hint: It involves relinquishing a little bit of control.

Just For Fun:

The Typical Day of a Teenage Girl in the Late 90’s: I seriously can’t get enough of BuzzFeed Rewind and this post is no exception. If you grew up in the 90’s, I guarantee you’ll be able to relate to almost all the items in this post (I especially like #8).

Goals

  • As you read this post (which was pre-scheduled), I’m currently in Punta Cana celebrating my 25th birthday with my mom. My only goal for this week is to completely relax, disconnect and enjoy my vacation!

Have any links or goals you’d like to share? Leave them in the comments!
