-It’s Book Blogger Appreciation Week. I am SO excited for a few of my favorite book blogs who took home some pretty awesome awards. Congratulations to:
Forever Young Adult who won Best Young Adult Book Blog: If you don’t already read these crazy hilarious ladies, you are seriously missing out! Their recaps of Pretty Little Liars are priceless.
The Broke and Bookish who won Best Book Blog Meme for Top Ten Tuesday: This is probably one of the most interesting and thoughtful book blogging memes out there. It always takes me forever to write my post when I participate, but the conversation in the comments is always priceless.
YA Highway who won Best Publishing/Industry Blog: Let me just say that I NEVER miss a YA Highway post. I look forward to Field Trip Fridays all week long. This award is well-deserved.
-I have lots of blogging to catch up on this weekend. I have a list of reviews to write, a pile of books to read, emails to reply to and lots of ideas for discussion posts. For this very reason, I have made ZERO social plans with the sole goal of catching up on sleep, reading and blogging. A mini bloggiesta, if you will. Anyone else have lots of blog work to catch up on this weekend? If so, let me know in the comments and we can encourage each other on Twitter!
-I bought an amazing new toy last weekend…you’ll get to see what it is on Sunday during In My Mailbox! Here’s a hint: It goes by the name of a fruit that just happens to almost be in season…any guesses?
-A few days ago, I became an official Brazen Careerist blogger. For those of you who aren’t familiar, Brazen Careerist is an online community for young professionals and college students. Each month, I’ll be writing two posts for their awesome blog, Brazen Life. I’m really excited about this opportunity because I LOVE writing about being a young professional and my experiences in my first job out of college. My first post, Beat the Not-Going-Back-to-College Blues, went live on Monday.
-Has anyone been watching The Lying Game on ABC Family? I tried to watch the first few episodes, but just can’t get into it. So upsetting, because I loved the book and kind of had high hopes for the show after seeing how well ABC Family did with Pretty Little Liars.
-You know what I love? When my book blogger friends and I have other similar interests that have nothing to do with books. Case in point? My amazing Twitter conversations with Jamie, Tara, Jacinda, Michelle and Shanyn about Big Brother. Our tweets throughout the summer three times a week (I know. Kind of ridiculous that a show airs three times a week, right?) made watching the show so much more fun. #TeamRachel all the way!
Have anything random to share for Tid-Bit Thursday today?
I have a ton of studying to do. I need to get it all done so I can keep my head above water next week!! Any encouragement via Twitter is greatly appreciated! 😉
I miss Big Brother already 🙁
I wasn’t a fan of The Lying Game in book form so I didn’t even want to give the show a go. Have you watched Switched at Birth on ABC Family? I LOVE that show!!!
