Waiting On Wednesday

Today, I’m participating in Waiting on Wednesday, a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. This event highlights the upcoming releases that we are eagerly awaiting!

Today, I am waiting for…

Then Came You by Jennifer Weiner (July 12, 2011 by Atria)

Jennifer Weiner is absolutely one of my favorite authors. I’d say she probably ranks up there in my top three. A highlight of last summer was meeting Jennifer in Philadelphia.

Check out this very brief Goodreads summary:

In the latest novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling author,  four women bound by obligation and opportunity struggle to become a family

Kind of crazy that the book is coming out in just a few months and we don’t have a n official blurb yet! I’ve seen a few on other blogs, but couldn’t find one on Goodreads, Amazon, etc.

Aha! Here’s something I found on Jennifer’s blog:

THEN CAME YOU concerns four women and a baby. There’s India, the older, wealthy, married lady who wants to get pregnant, and can’t. There’s Jules, the college student who donates an egg, and Annie, the Pennsylvania housewife who serves as a surrogate, and Bettina, India’s twenty-three-year-old stepdaughter, who’s deeply skeptical of the whole endeavor. It’s an exploration into the issues that surrogacy raises…and also, the story of how these women end up forming a very modern family.

Sounds so good! Jennifer always explores such interesting topics in all of her books, and I’m sure this will be no exception.

What are you anxiously waiting for this Wednesday?

  1. This is the second time I saw this book in WOW. Reading the synopsis reminds me Hollywood movie where took many point of view from each character

  2. I’m a huge fan of Weiner’s, too, as you know — can’t wait to read this one! I really love the cover, too; your blog is the first time I’ve gotten a glimpse of it. So cool!

  3. I had heard this was coming out, but didn’t know a whole lot about it. Although after that blurb, I really can’t wait to read it! It reminds me a little of her Little Earthquakes, which I love so I’m sure this will be amazing too
