Memorial Day Reads

I hope everyone had a fantastic and sunny Memorial Day Weekend. I headed to Ocean City, NJ and spent some time catching up on reading and working on my tan (or in this case, extreme sunburn).

Aside from lounging on the beach, hanging out with my family and being tempted by delicious boardwalk snacks, I was able to finally plow through some titles that have been sitting on my TBR list for awhile now. There’s nothing I love more than vacation reading.

Check out my reads below…reviews to come for all of them!

Ominous by Kate Brian: I adore Kate Brian and the Private series and this one was definitely as mysterious and shocking as past books.

Save As Draft by Cavanaugh Lee: I’ve been meaning to read this one for awhile and it was SO good.

Past Perfect by Leila Sales: Still reading this one and absolutely loving it so far. Leila Sales manages to blend subtle humor perfectly into her contemporary novels.

True Colors by Kristin Hannah: Not finished this one yet either. It was a bit slow to start but now I am really getting into the story and it’s hard to put down.

Did you get any reading done during the long holiday weekend?

  1. I didn’t get ANYTHING done during the Memorial Day weekend. I wished I could because I was so distracted on vacation (and still on vacation).

Save as Draft is pretty good! Loved it! 🙂

  2. You got through four books this weekend?! Go you! Despite being on a trip specifically to talk about books and blogging, I read very little in New York City — though I did get about 60 pages into Jim Higley’s Bobblehead Dad. Must get back to my novels soon! (And I have Save As Draft in my TBR — can’t wait to read that one.)
