Today, I’m participating in Waiting on Wednesday, a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. This event highlights the upcoming releases that we are eagerly awaiting!
Today, I am waiting for…
Normal Gets You Nowhere by Kelly Cutrone (May 3, 2011 by Harper Collins)
Check out this summary from Harper Collins:
nor-mal: 2 a: according with, constituting, or not deviating from a norm, rule or principle b: conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern 4 a: of, relating to, or characterized by average intelligence or development
Uh, who wants that?Hot on the heels of her New York Times bestseller If You Have to Cry, Go Outside, Kelly Cutrone is back with another no-holds-barred book to awaken our souls and kick our asses into gear. In Normal Gets You Nowhere, she invites us to get our freak on. History is full of successful, world-changing people who did not fit in. Think Nelson Mendela, Joan of Arc, Eleanor Roosevelt, John Lennon. Instead of changing themselves to accommodate the status quo or what others thought they should be, these people hung a light on their differences – and changed humanity in the process. There’s already an army of supertalented uberfreaks changing the world-isn’t it time you joined them?
I was absolutely OBSESSED with Kelly Cutrone’s first book IF YOU HAVE TO CRY, GO OUTSIDE. I use Kelly’s tough love advice all the time at work and at home, and I can’t wait to hear more of her wisdom. And I completely love the idea that being “weird” or thinking outside the box is what will make someone successful. Can’t wait to read this one!
What are you anxiously waiting for this Wednesday?
