How is it October already? Didn’t summer just begin? Goodness, ever since I graduated and started working, time is FLYING. Craziness. Let’s check out my September progress.
Books Read:
Unbelievable by Sara Shepard
Wicked by Sara Shepard
Mini Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella
Yikes, this may be one of my weakest months! In my defense, there were two deaths in my family, so it was a tumultuous month, with not much time for reading. October will be better, I’m sure. However, my favorite book of September? Mini Shopaholic, definitely. Super cute. You can check out my review for that here.
On The Blog:
–-Obviously the biggest blog news of September was my big move to jessicalawlor.com! I’m so happy to be over here at my own domain even though I seem to have lost several of my readers/subscribers in the process. I know that with this new site, I’ll be able to provide even more fun content and I expect the blog will grow with time, just as it did last year when I had first started it.
-I gave away a $25 Amazon gift card.
-I read three books and reviewed four books.
-I interviewed the fabulous author, Alexis Grant.
-I joined in Book Blogger Appreciation Week.
-I shared my favorite banned books for Banned Books Week.
This Month I Hope To:
-Read at least 6 books
-Cross post book reviews on Goodreads and Amazon.
-Sign up for a local writing conference.
-Line up some author interviews and guest posts for the blog!
-Prepare for NaNoWriMo
How was September for you? What are you up to this month? Any new goals?
Time is going SO fast that it’s crazy… for me, it started flying once 2009 started-since then, it just keeps running at break-neck speed :/
3 books is still good! No shame in that 🙂 (And I’m sorry about your family members…I hope you and the rest of your family is doing well.) Your new site is very lovely-and you still haven’t lost me as a reader so I ain’t going anywhere 😉
NaNo…I’m still unsure of whether I’m participating next month (I failed spectacularly last year) but who knows, maybe this year will be THE YEAR I glue my butt to my chair and just WRITE.
I’m glad you’re still here 🙂 I hope my other readers find me again! I
I failed spectacularly the past few years, but it’s just getting in the writerly spirit that gets me going. I like doing it with everyone, even if I’m not putting pressure on myself. Post on that to come this week!
I’m looking forward to that post! 🙂
I like the idea of everyone writing together–writing is such a solitary act but knowing that someone else is going through the same thing you are makes it a little less lonely. o.O
