Over the past year that I’ve had this blog, I’ve found so many new great blogs to read. It started out with me finding wonderful book blogs filled with book reviews, author interviews, giveaways and more. Then, I found myself clicking around great blogs about the writing process and the publishing industry. These blogs have inspire me to keep my dream of writing and being published in focus.

Each weekend, either on Saturday or Sunday, I’m going to highlight two of these blogs! Please feel free to share suggestions with me of other great publishing and writing focused blogs to highlight.

First up today is Jessica from Forever Young: A YA Lit Blog

I’ve been reading Jessica’s blog for a few months now, but just recently got to really talking to her through Gchat and Twitter. Not only is Jessica and avid reader of YA, she is an aspiring author. My favorite feature of her blog is her Saturday Link Party where she links to great blog posts and articles about reading, writing, publishing and even contests from all over the web. I always look forward to the link parties and end up spending way too much time perusing the new blogs she’s introduced me to. Jessica also reviews books, discusses writing conferences and her own writing.

Next up today is Joel of The Book Designer.

The Book Designer is an amazing blog for those who are interested in self-publishing. While I know many of us are interested in going the traditional route, it doesn’t hurt to read an awesome blog like this one who provides great advice that really applies to anyone interested in writing a book. This blog just takes it the extra step with self-publishing advice, as well.
