It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday, What are you Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at One Person’s Journey Through A World Of Books to discuss what we are reading this week, as well as books completed the previous week.

Books I Completed Last Week:

You’ll Never Nanny In This Town Again
by Suzanne Hansen: After reading and enjoying The Nanny Diaries last year, I saw this book on Amazon and thought it would be interesting read about Nanny’s in LA, as opposed to NYC. I absolutely loved this story (review to come)

Could Not Complete:

Cum Laude by Cecily von Ziegesar: I hate that I even had to add the category “could not complete” in today’s round up, but I got 100 pages into this book and I was SO. BORED. Surprising since I love the Gossip Girl series, written by this same author.

Books I’m Reading This Week:

The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell: Somehow I keep pushing this one off but I really hope to get to it this week.

It’s Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han: I love the cover and the title of this book. I’ve also heard good things about it around the blogosphere.

So, what are you reading this week?

  1. I will be interested to know how you liked The Carrie Diaries, I have heard both good and bad reviews of it. I plan on reading it too but will probably borrow it. Enjoy!

  2. It's a shame when a book is deemed unworthy of at least being finished. The picture looks familiar, has it been used for another book?

I really want to read Jenny Han's books. They sound fun and totally Summer-ish. 🙂 Isn't "It's Not Summer Without You" kind of like a sequel to "The Summer I Turned Pretty"? I'll be waiting for a review. 🙂

    Happy reading!!!

Check out my post, and enter my international contest!

  3. Have you ever read any other books by Candace Bushnell before? If so, which one do you think you like best?

You'll Never Nanny sounds ind of good. Glad you enjoyed it. I just love fun summer reading 🙂

  5. I'd be interested to hear what you think of The Carrie Diaries. My friend is a big SITC fan, so I've been thinking of buying it for her.
