Over the past year that I’ve had this blog, I’ve found so many new great blogs to read. It started out with me finding wonderful book blogs filled with book reviews, author interviews, giveaways and more. Then, I found myself clicking around great blogs about the writing process and the publishing industry. These blogs have inspire me to keep my dream of writing and being published in focus.
Each weekend, either on Saturday or Sunday, I’m going to highlight two of these blogs! Please feel free to share suggestions with me of other great publishing and writing focused blogs to highlight.
First up today is The Creative Penn.
“I wanted to share this information with other people who want to become authors, because I found the traditional publishing route too difficult and slow.”
Next up today is See Heather Write.
Heather is a magazine editor and freelance writer who is working on editing her first YA novel. Her blog is a mixture of her own experiences writing, writing tips, book reviews and funny stories (and commentary on a trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter…JEALOUS!) I enjoy reading Heather’s blog (just found it fairly recently) because she reminds me of myself in her goal of wanting to get that novel published, but she’s doing a much better job at making her goal a reality than I am.

Yay Heather! 😀
Thanks so much for writing about my blog! It was really nice to see this little surprise today 🙂
Hi Jessica,
Thanks so much for including me on your blog – I am so glad to provide useful information. I'm just learning as I go myself, so always fantastic to meet other writers!
Thanks, Joanna
Hi Joanna,
Is plugging your own blog fair game? If so, I'd ask you to check out my writers group blog, The Parking Lot Confessional. We're three writers documenting our journeys toward publication. We write about our struggles and accomplishments, provide writing prompts and advice, and will soon be featuring some amazing guest authors. The URL is http://parkinglotconfessional.com.
Thanks,
Amy
