We Have A Winner and Empowering Moments

Thank you to everyone who entered my The Cinderella Society giveaway and to all those who shared their amazing empowering stories.

I’ve chosen my 3 favorite stories and will share my own empowering story with you.

Here are my three favorite:

“I feel empowered daily when I wake up and realize that though I’m really looking forward to finding The One — that elusive, fanastic “other piece” of my heart — I’m happy, successful and flourishing on my own! And when I look at my bank account and realize no one put that money there but yours truly, my sense of empowerment only grows. :)” –Meg

“When my thesis was published and my scientist I-know-everything dad couldn’t figure out what any of it meant. :)” –Raspberry

“In my family, men are considered superior over women, which is why my parents play favorites. I’ve always wanted to tell my parents that they should stop this particular view in life of theirs but never had the strength to, until recently when I found the strength to tell what I really feel, I think I’ve had enough of all of the inequality in the family and it’s about time I speak up. That was the time I really felt empowered and it made me feel good to finally say what I felt inside.” –Sylvia

As for my empowered moment…I felt most empowered when I stepped on the airplane to go to Rome for six weeks leaving everything I loved behind. I’ve always been very close to my family and I never though I would leave even for a great experience like study abroad, but I’m so glad I did because I learned to live on my own and most importantly learned that I can make it on my own in any situation. I am strong and independent now.

And now what you’ve all been waiting for….the winner of my very first giveaway is…

Congrats, Sherry and thank you to everyone who entered and shared their awesome stories!

Thank you to Daisy Whitney for hosting this blog tour and to Kay Cassidy for writing this book that’s got us all talking!
