Double book review time! I’m doing these two books together, because I’m sure all you lovely readers out there who haven’t started the Private series yet don’t want to see a million seperate posts on these books. I’m going to keep both of these reviews short because I don’t want to spoil anything for those who haven’t read the series yet.
Confessions
Author: Kate Brian
ISBN: 9781416918769
Confessions continues Reed Brennan’s story of her time at Easton Academy.
In the previous book, Reed’s boyfriend Josh is arrested for the murder of Reed’s ex-boyfriend Thomas. Reed KNOWS that Josh could not possibly guilty, and will do whatever it takes to find out who really committed the crime. When Reed finally figures it out in a deadly showdown, all hell breaks loose.
I was on the edge of my seat this entire book turning page after page, late into the night. It’s a good thing that these books are relatively short and easy to read because I just devour one after the other.
Reed Brennan proves to be even more of a likable character in the fourth installment of the series and literally, the ending will SHOCK you.

Inner Circle
Author: Kate Brian
ISBN: 9781416950417
Inner Circle, the fifth installment of the Private series starts a brand new school year at Easton Academy. With the Billings girls gone, Reed is sad, but a little bit excited to have a normal school year. However, Reed is going to get ANYTHING but normal.
Cheyenne, a character who is mentioned in the other books, but who doesn’t really play a prominent role is the new self-proclaimed leader of Billings dorm this year. Reed hates that Cheyenne and some of the other Billings girls want to haze the new girls, but Cheyenne is all about tradition.
The book has a very surprising, twist ending…I never even saw it coming, but I guess I knew more drama had to be on the way since there are a few more books in the series!
I liked this book a lot, but I found parts of it be unbelievable (more so than the other books). For instance, Cheyenne, who always was a sweet and kind girl turned mean, ringleader in this book? Not very believable. It was very out of character.
Looking forward to the next few books!
