Ready For Book Blogger Appreciation Week?

I remember last year when I first started my book blog, I discovered a whole bunch of great book blogs thanks to Book Blogger Appreciation Week (BBAW). I admired them thinking to myself, “I wonder where my blog will be this time next year.” I’m really happy with how far I’ve come and I hope to continue reviewing great books, interviewing authors and meeting other amazing book bloggers and fanatics!

This year, BBAW is being run a little differently. This year, bloggers get to nominate their own blog and showcase their best posts for the categories they are nominating themself for. Some bloggers are uncomfortable with this new change, but personally, I think it’s great. I think it’s absolutely FAIR. There are many smaller book blogs out there in the blogosphere that are just as well-written and interesting as the “bigger” blogs and maybe don’t get the recognition they deserve. This new process levels the playing field. Anyone can nominate their own blog and then the judges will decide based on content and more, but voted on by a peer group. I think it’s fascinating.

Another great thing about this year is that by “nominating” or as BBAW refers to it “registering” yourself, you enter yourself in a book blog directory for the category your blog falls under. Fabulous!

Now, without further ado…I’ve decided to throw my hat in the ring! Here we go:

Niche Category: Best Young Adult Book Blog

Book Review: The Naughty List by Suzanne Young
Book Review: The Cinderella Society by Kay Cassidy
Book Review: The Espressologist by Kristina Springer
How I Helped A Debut Author With PR
Library Love

Will you be participating in Book Blogger Appreciation Week? What categories are you entering?

  1. That was my favourite part of BBAW last year too – finding so many great blogs. Enjoy this year's BBAW!
