You all know I’m a huge fan of the community book sale.
My aunt has been raving and raving about all these thrift stores she goes to every weekend and the amazing things she finds, books included. Yesterday, I joined her and headed to the thrift shop ready to scour the shelves for good book finds.
If I was impressed by the $1.50 price of the books at the book sale, let me tell you, I almost passed out when I saw how much the books were at the thrift store.
30 cents for paperbacks
90 cents for hardbacks
UM, what?! Sign me up.
I scanned the shelves (which were actually pretty organized) and came out with four great books for the crazy price of $1.20.
Here’s what I found:
Girls Night In by lots of fabulous authors: I’ve seen this book in the book store, but never thought to pick it up because I don’t really love short stories. However, this collection is written by some of my very favorite authors including Jennifer Weiner and Meg Cabot, so I’m giving it a try.
Bargains! I haven't been to a book sale in a while, but our local charity shops sell some good books cheap, though not as cheap as your local thrift store!
Wow, that's a really awesome deal!
So jealous!!
great deals! we find awesome kids books for 5/$1 at our local thrift store – LOVE IT!
Pretty Little Liars is on my tbr list..for way too long now. But I decided to pick the four books up in the summer! Love it.
Bargains are always fun!
Oh, the joy of the book sale! I was at a few flea markets this weekend — something I never thought I'd say! — and saw quite a few awesome paperbacks for 50 cents… and some for .25! Unbelievable. I actually owned all of them already, and probably paid $10 or so a pop, or I would have gobbled them up in a hurry!
Great finds! I love these kinds of book sales. The Second Assistant looks good – I'll have to look into that one.
