I just heard on Twitter that author J.D. Salinger passed away.
It’s really interesting because he didn’t write the kind of books I usually read, but I absolutely loved The Catcher In The Rye.
I remember reading it junior year of high school and just falling in love with the story.
His writing will definitely be missed!
What’s your favorite J.D. Salinger book?
I actually have never read The Catcher In The Rye, and was surprised when I found out Salinger had died because I didn't realise he was still alive.
I definitely want to read this book at some point though! RIP!
I loved Nine Stories and Franny and Zooey just as much as Catcher. I love all of his writing.
I too loved all J.D. Salinger's writings!
May he RIP.
Margie:)
I loved Catcher in the Rye as well. My dad asked me to pick him up a copy next time I'm at the bookstore. I am looking forward to reading it again!
I loved Catcher too, but I'm afraid it's the only Salinger work I've read so I guess it's my favourite. 😉 But oh, how I loved it back when I was 17, it just meant the world to me. A truly outstanding work!
