New Release: Committed by Elizabeth Gilbert

Surprisingly, I didn’t hear a lot of buzz around the book blogosphere this week about a recent release that I’m very excited to read. The book is called Committed by Elizabeth Gilbert, a sequel to the wildly popular Eat, Pray Love.

I absolutely fell in love with Gilbert’s first novel about her journey through Italy, India and Indonesia. Her book inspired me and was passed around throughout my group of friends. One of my closest friends even brought a copy to Italy so we could all read the Italy portion while we were actually in the Eternal City.

I can’t wait to pick up her latest Committed about love and learning to accept marriage for a second time.

Update: Check out this New York Times book review of Committed.

Did any of you enjoy Gilbert’s first novel? Any plans to pick up her latest?

I still haven't read Eat Pray Love. I know, I need to get on that.

I haven't heard many great things about her 2nd book but if I read the first one I'll probably read the second one.

i loved eat, pray, love it is one of my favorite books and i re-read it right before i went to italy too!

  3. Eat, Pray, Love is one of those books that's been on my radar for a while, but I haven't picked up a copy yet! Since you liked it so much, I'll definitely have to add it to my wishlist. And then I'm sure I'd be interested in Committed, too! 🙂
