I headed to my local book sale last night. I was a little nervous because the tiny book sale room is seriously intense and gets very crowded with other avid readers looking for a deal! Luckily, I know exactly where the types of books I read are and was quickly able to pick out a few great books.
This time I bought:
Simply Divine by Wendy Holden
Bad Heir Day by Wendy Holden
The Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
Cocktails For Three by Madeleine Wickham
The first two books just had cute covers and titles. Upon reading the back jacket, I definitely knew these books would be right up my alley.
I realized that I already picked up The Time Travelers Wife last time I was at a book sale, so now I have two copies (Do I see a giveaway on this blog in the near future? Hmmmm….)
I’ve already read Eat, Pray, Love but I couldn’t get enough of it, and it’s just the kind of book you have to have on your shelf.
I read my first Madeleine Wickham book this past summer, so when I saw another book by her that I hadn’t read, I grabbed it right up!
$6.00 for all 5 of these amazing books! Can’t beat that!

I need to find a book sale in my area…. I don't know if we have them, honestly.
I'm definitely going to look into it though – I pay WAY too much for books! Eek… I need to refine that particular area of my budget.
I'm with Sarah, I haven't seen a book sale here in forever. If we did have them I would totally check it out!
I'm constantly buying books on Amazon because I'm always looking for a deal, new books are expensive!
The Time Travelers Wife is so good, I loved it! I still haven't read Her Fearful Symmetry although it's been on my shelf since it came out!
I love book sales and fairs and it sounds like you got an amazing lot for so cheap! I very rarely buy new books when you get such fabulous second hand books.

I also meant to say – The Time Travellers Wife is in my top 3 favourite books of all time, its amazing and I hope you love it too. I got Eat Love Pray for Christmas and I can't wait to read it!
Cocktails for Three is the only Wickham book I've read, but I really enjoyed it. Enjoy all your new books!
