Start Your Week Right Sunday: Links and Goals

Start your week right! Every Sunday I post my favorite links from around the web and share my goals for the upcoming week.

Links

On Writing:

That’s Not What I Wrote! What To Do When You’re Hit With Heavy Editing: We’ve all been there. You write an article or guest post and when it’s published, it barely resembles what you submitted. Sophie Lizard outlines steps to take when you’ve been edited in a guest post on Make A Living Writing.

On Business:

Business Planning Made Simple: If you want to start a business, you’ll need a business plan, says Michelle from Bombshelle in a guest post for Sarah Von Bargen. This post shares ideas to make business planning simple and fun.

How To Make This Year Extraordinary by Simplifying Your Goals: Carrie from Careful Cents writes this smart post about simplifying all aspects of her business in order to make it run more smoothly. As simplifying is one of my 2013 goals, I can definitely relate.

On Blogging:

How To Use Google Calendar To Create An Editorial Calendar: Do you have an editorial calendar for your blog? Rebecca Livermore details exactly how to use this free tool to keep your blog organized in a guest post for Amy Porterfield’s blog.

On Being a Twenty-Something:

7 Habits of Highly Miserable Twenty-Somethings: This must be the week of awesome guest posts! Paul Angone writes for Life After College about seven nasty habits twenty-somethings may find themselves guilty of that make them miserable. Can you relate?

Goals

  • Execute a successful event. The major event I’ve been planning for work is TODAY and I couldn’t be more nervous/excited to finally see the event come to fruition.
  • Work on my blog editorial calendar. I was definitely inspired by Rebecca Livermore’s post about using Google Calendar to create an editorial calendar for your blog, and I want to get ahead with ideas and posts for the future.

Have any links or goals you’d like to share? Leave them in the comments!
