-I am heading to New York City next Monday for the Teen Author Carnival. I am BEYOND excited. I mean, have you checked out the lineup? I’m especially excited to meet Susane Colasanti; she is one of my favorite authors! Will you be at the TAC? If so, let me know! I’d love to meet you in person!
-Unfortunately, while I will be in NYC on Monday, I won’t be there for BEA and the Book Blogger Conference. It was originally one of my goals to attend this epic conference, but after taking a look at my vacation days at work and all of the fun stuff I have planned for this summer, I realized I wouldn’t be able to attend. I am super jealous of all you attending though and can’t wait to follow along via Twitter, your blogs and Armchair BEA.
-Haven’t heard of Armchair BEA yet? If you aren’t attending BEA, this is your hub for all things BEA…a virtual convention, if you will.
-I got an email about this a few weeks ago and saw it again on Lauren’s blog, but my absolute favorite author Jennifer Weiner is holding an amazing contest. The prize? A trip to LA! I’m trying to think of a creative way to enter. I’d love to win this contest!
-I am seeing Something Borrowed this weekend and I’m really excited! I can’t wait to see how the book was adapted into a movie. I know it obviously won’t be as good as Emily Giffin’s book, but I’ve heard good things about it. Have you seen it?
-On a side note, how sick are you of the rain? It is never-ending! So gloomy out. Makes it difficult to get out of bed in the morning.
Any random Tuesday Tid-Bits to share today?
Let us know how Something Borrowed is! I haven’t read the book, but the movie looks adorable.
I saw the movie last week – it was pretty awesome!! I hope you enjoy it.
So jealous of Teen Author Carnival! I’m going to be in NY all week for training, but I’ll never make it to BEA. Mandatory conferences are really cramping my book loving style! Have fun!
@Melissa, Boo! I wish you could come.
I’ll be going to the teen author carnival too! (I’m also going to BEA but the carnival is just the beginning of the awesome) It would be great to meet you in person 🙂 If you see a super quiet brunette carrying a blue penguin…. that is me. XD
@Sandy, OMG! We can finally meet at the TAC! I can’t wait. I won’t be at BEA though 🙁
@Jessica Lawlor, I seriously can’t wait!!! And it’s so soon! (are you freaking out like I am?!) THIS YEAR IS GOING TO ROCK. (And boo about BEA 🙁 But no worries, the carnival is just as fun and since it’s smaller (I say “smaller” since it won’t be as crazy as BEA), it’s more personal and you can chat with the authors for more than five seconds)
