Over the past year that I’ve had this blog, I’ve found so many new great blogs to read. It started out with me finding wonderful book blogs filled with book reviews, author interviews, giveaways and more. Then, I found myself clicking around great blogs about the writing process and the publishing industry. These blogs have inspire me to keep my dream of writing and being published in focus.
Each weekend, either on Saturday or Sunday, I’m going to highlight two of these blogs! Please feel free to share suggestions with me of other great publishing and writing focused blogs to highlight.
Both of the blogs I’ve chosen for today are authors! I love when authors, whether they are just coming out with their debut novel, or are veterans in the business share their writing process/lives in a blog.
First up today is Chelsea from The Page Flipper.
I just found Chelsea’s blog this past weekend through Twitter and I love it already. Chelsea is an author, with a book coming out in just a few weeks. Her blog focuses on YA book reviews, as well as her thoughts about writing and reading. I admire this blog a lot, because I’ve been hearing a lot of talk about how aspiring authors shouldn’t keep book blogs, but Chelsea has clearly been a success at doing both!
Next up today is Rachele of Freckle Head.
Rachele is also an author who blogs about writing. She is a high school teacher by day and a fiction writing MFA student by night. Her book is currently in submission to different publishing houses, and in the meantime, Rachele is blogging about how she’s writing her next novel. I love how honest Rachele is and I really enjoy the way she discusses writing.

Thanks for featuring me! 🙂 Ironically, Rachele and I are in the same book club. She's an awesome person!
I think reading and writing go hand in hand & that writing about reading is only natural if you love them both. I definitely think it's okay, and even helpful, to be both an author and a book reviewer.
