Today, I’m participating in Booking Through Thursday!
Today’s question is: What’s the saddest book you’ve read recently?
Wow, this one is really hard for me to answer because I usually only read young adult fiction or women’s literature. I really don’t like to read sad books, because there are enough sad things that happen in real life, that I like reading to be my escape.
Then, I remembered that in addition to this blog, I review books for a Web site called Wandering Educators. Lately, I was shipped a whole bunch of books about the Holocaust (obviously a sad subject) and I recently read Saving What Remains by Livia Bitton-Jackson.
The book tells a true story of one woman’s struggle to satisfy her mother’s final wishes.
You can find my review of this book here.

Sounds like a really sad, but interesting, book.
