Start Your Week Right Sunday: Links and Goals

start your week right- Jessica Lawlor
Photo of the week: A new yoga milestone! In a workshop on Friday night, I finally achieved my first flying crow. This one’s not easy- I definitely have bruises on my triceps.

Start your week right! Every Sunday I post my favorite links from around the web and share my goals for the upcoming week.

On Willpower:

The Art of Endurance: 4 Ways to Boost Your Willpower: Willpower- it’s such an interesting topic. Did you know we have a limited supply of willpower in any given day? Rosanna Casper offers four exercises to help strengthen willpower to make better choices all day long.

On Being Intentional:

How To Write More Handwritten Notes: One of my goals for 2015 is to be more intentional (and a better friend) by sending more handwritten notes. I recently sent out an email to gather snail mail addresses from my friends, so this post by Sarah Kathleen Peck came at the perfect time.

On Solopreneurship:

How To Gather Testimonials From Past and Current Clients: Gathering testimonials is an important part of showcasing who you are and why potential clients show consider working with you. Sara Frandina provides smart tips to get those all-important testimonials in this post for One Woman Shop.

On Social Media:

What I Learned From A 30-Day Social Media Detox: This is absolutely fascinating. Jason SurfrApp quit all social media for 30 days…and published his day-by-day diary of the experience afterward.

On Creating a Product:

Please Ask Yourself This Question Before You Choose The “Format: For Your Next Project: Instead of stressing over the format of your next creative project, Alexandra Franzen suggests asking yourself this question first: “What is the effect that I want to have on people?”

This Week on JessicaLawlor.com:

Take The Great Get Gutsy Reader Survey: The Get Gutsy community is growing and I couldn’t be more excited about it! Take the Great Get Gutsy Survey to help shape the future of the brand.

10 Spectacular Things Happening Right Now (Join The Movement!): Call it a #humblebrag, or simply call it being grateful, here are 10 spectacular things happening in my life right now. Add yours to the challenge hosted by Coach Jennie.

Goals

  • Officially kick off the 30 Days of Gutsy course with the beta group! After a month of planning, I’m ready to share the course with the beta group. Stay tuned for the public launch in the new year.
  • Keep my workout schedule going strong. I mentioned last week I wanted to incorporate more running into my weekly schedule. I kept up with that running twice last week and I actually have a race this coming week, so that will help me stay focused, too!

Have any links or goals you’d like to share? Leave them in the comments!
