Start Your Week Right Sunday: Links and Goals

start your week right- Jessica Lawlor
Photo of the week: You truly can find inspiration anywhere! I found this gem in the bathroom of a concert venue here in Philadelphia last weekend.

Start your week right! Every Sunday I post my favorite links from around the web and share my goals for the upcoming week.

Links

On Content Creation and Consumption:

Content Cacophony and How To Filter The Noise: Whoa. Up until this incredible post by Pat Flynn, I’d never heard of the term “just-in-time-learning” but I’m now obsessed with the concept. Learn about what this means and how it can help you filter through the tons and tons of content online.

On Motivation:

Motivation is a Solopreneur’s Worst Enemy: Coach Jennie encourages solopreneurs to choose tenacity over motivation. I love this advice in her guest post for One Woman Shop…especially her words of wisdom to “stop learning.” (You’ll have to read the post to find out why this is a good thing)

On Yoga

Yoga and Anxiety: 6 Ways Yoga Can Help: I’m learning SO much in yoga teacher training and when I stumbled across this post by Nadine of Your Inspired Action about how yoga can help anxiety, it reinforced so much of what I’m learning.  My favorite tid-bit here is “yoga teaches us that discomfort has an ending.”

On Blogging:

Mobilegeddon is Coming For Your Blog: Here’s How To Be Ready: If you haven’t yet heard, on April 21, Google is adjusting its algorithm to give precedence to blogs that are mobile friendly. (I still have to get mine in order!) Kyla Roma has your complete guide to getting prepared to make sure your site isn’t impacted negatively.

On Awesome Courses You Should Check Out:

Two of my fabulous friends are launching great online courses that you should definitely check out:

Cubicle to $10K: Ashley D of Your Super Awesome Life is launching this 8-week course that shows you the EXACT step-by-step process to start a business you love, so you can make your first $10k in no time.

Create Your Tribe: New to blogging or just struggling to build an audience? My friend, Jessica Malnik, developed a month-long course with actionable tips to build a thriving community around your blog.

This Week on JessicaLawlor.com:

The People We Don’t Get The Chance to Thank: Unfortunately, there are some people that we’ll never get the chance to thank. I experienced that this week and I share this story because I hope it will inspire you to thank someone today.

Goals

  • Complete my yoga teacher training reading/homework and practice my Sun Salutations on a couple of different people this week before Weekend 3 of teacher training this coming weekend!
  • Finish the 30 Days of Gutsy course (AH! Tomorrow is the last day!) and send out a follow-up survey to gain feedback for the next time I run the course.

Have any links or goals you’d like to share? Leave them in the comments!
