Start Your Week Right Sunday: Links and Goals

start your week right- Jessica Lawlor
Photo of the week: My crafty friend Janelle (see one of her posts featured below) made me these absolutely beautiful Get Gutsy letters. I can’t wait to display them! I’m sure you’ll see them make an appearance in future videos.

Start your week right! Every Sunday I post my favorite links from around the web and share my goals for the upcoming week.

Links

On Health and Fitness:

Wellness in the WorkPlace: A Cautionary Tale: I loved this honest post by Jess Ostroff of Don’t Panic Management about why she broke up with her Jawbone UP Band fitness tracker because it was actually causing MORE stress in her life. I recently also ditched my FitBit, so I can completely understand.

On Life:

What Grief and Loss Really Look Like: Wow. This post by Shannyn of Frugal Beautiful is a must-read. On social media, we often don’t share the sad or grief-filled moments, but in this important piece, Shannyn gets brutally honest.

On Freelance Writing:

Track Your Pitches: Use This Spreadsheet to Land More Online Writing Jobs: Want to land more writing jobs? Alicia de los Reyes shares an amazing spreadsheet you can use to track your pitching progress for The Write Life. Get organized!

On Reaching Goals:

How a FRESH START Took Me From Big Dream to Big Win: My good friend Janelle shares the story of how she took her dream of creating a calendar to reality in literally less than one month. I’m so proud of her!

On Content Marketing:

Writing Great Content and Fitness: They Have More In Common Than You Think: I’ve been doing T25, Sean T’s workout program, for the past seven or so weeks and I’ve actually been able to draw a lot of parallels between the fitness program and writing. Check out my realizations in my latest post for Scribewise.

This Week on JessicaLawlor.com:

Get Gutsy with Kirsten Browning: I’m Doing One Good Deed a Day With #100helpfuldays: Each month, I interview people who get gutsy- step outside their comfort zones to reach their goals. Today: meet the creator of the #100helpfuldays movement, Kirsten Browning.

My Journey to Becoming a Yoga Teacher: Yoga Teacher Training Weekend 2: I’m getting gutsy by completing yoga teacher training. I plan to document my journey to becoming a yoga teacher. Read on for details about Weekend 2.

Monthly Check-In: Goodbye March, Hello April: Each monthly check-in, I share three things I accomplished in the previous month and preview three things I’m excited for in the month ahead.

Goals

  • Take a different style yoga class. Part of my yoga teacher training homework this week involves taking a totally different style yoga class. I’m thinking kundalini, yin or restorative. Can’t wait to try something new!
  • Get caught up on some freelance work and get ahead on posts for the blog. I have a few new assignments I need to get to work on in the next month.

Have any links or goals you’d like to share? Leave them in the comments!
