Covering All Angles During eBook Launch Week: In case you missed it, writer Dana Sitar is all over the Internet this week promoting her newly launched eBook A Writer’s Bucket List (review coming soon). Thinking of launching your own eBook? Dana’s got a comprehensive list of how she’s promoting the launch of her book. It’s pretty awesome.
WordPress SEO Tip for Beginners-How to Optimize Your WordPress Blog Posts: One of my goals for 2013 is to learn more about SEO (I’ve been doing pretty good with this one…stay tuned for a post on this) and this post by WP Beginner breaks down how to use the plug-in WordPress SEO by Yoast.
Defining Busy: One Year Later: Kaitlyn Dennihy from Blurring Edges (Note: I love this blog! Kaitlyn is a fellow runner and PR pro) writes about a challenge she tackled last year to eliminate the word “busy” from her vocabulary.
On Being Human: Everyone knows that social media can help you reach your professional goals, if used correctly. In this awesome post by Adam Britten for his new blog The Digital Careerist, Adam argues that young professionals should be human on social media because “companies want to hire humans, not drones.” Good stuff here.
On Personal Finance:
Seven Days, Two Bloggers and One Goal to Track It All: Last week, I joined forces with Cat Alford from Budget Blonde to track our expenses for an entire week. Catch her recap and lessons learned in this awesome post.
- As I mentioned in my monthly check-in on Friday, a major event I’m planning for work is THIS WEEKEND! Eeks. This week is all about last minute details, set-up and making sure the event is successful. Wish me luck!
- Beat my 5-mile race time from last year. On Saturday, I’m running a 5-mile race and I know I’ve gotten speedier over the past year (even though I’ve been in a bit of a running slump lately). I need to beat my previous time of 55:19.
